In 2009 The Efteling suprised us with a new attraction to it’s fairytale forrest: Cinderella (Assepoester in Dutch).
You can now visit the house where Cinderella lived with her stepmother and stepsisters in The Efteling park. When you enter the Cinderella garden, not only you will see some coloured dove’s flying around, you’ll also see a book displayed at the entry of the garden. Here you can read the Cinderlla story.

A coupple of meters further you see the grave of Cinderella’s mother with a small bouquet of flowers and an oil lamp. You are now almost at the frontdoor of the house. On the right you can see some big pumpkins on the ground in the garden. When you enter the house you will see a little scene where the prince is trying Cinderella to fit the glass slipper. You will hear a small story about this and when it’s ended you walk outside.

There is also a little store where you can buy some Cinderella items. Last September I have visited the Cinderella house and also made some photo’s. Ofcourse I was really excited to go there. I felt like a little girl again. Most people expected more from this new attraction. And I? I was very proud and happy that finally Cinderella has her own place in The Efteling park!
